Ribbed Hats Are Back

Pattern: Side To Side Ribbed Hat by Sally L.M. - Yarn: Caron Simply Soft in Strawberry, Blue Mint, and Autumn Red - Size: Baby/Child - Hook: 5.5 mm

   Here is everything I do differently on the Side to Side Ribbed Crochet Hat:

  • start with a regular chain instead of a foundation stitch

  • only have 2 sc difference in each short row

  • have three short rows instead of two for baby, and 4 for child or adult

  • when changing color, finish the last stitch on the downward long row, chain two with the new color, and pull the old one tight

  • ending in the bottom instead of the top

  • seam it together by inserting my hook into the back loop of the last row and then the entire cast on chain and slip stitch together
